Today, we s u r p r i s e d a family of 13 and blessed them with a new concrete floor for their house and a bathroom for the first time ever! They were thrilled and absolutely speechless. We cleaned all of their laundry, washed all of their dishes, and totally deep cleaned the entire house/yard as well. It was a true example of being God's hands and feet! Extreme shack makeover was a long and hard but rewarding day! However even though it was great helping the family of 13 it is always hard telling the hundreds of other families we don't have the money when they ask for a new floor for their house as well. #missionaryatheart

Actions Speak Louder
I'm not in this to see how many people I can tell about God or Jesus with my words...truthfully some days when I'm in the Dominican I won't even mention the bible or anything in it. Most people know the concept of Christianity. But they have no way to grasp that kind of love. So it is MY calling to show love. I want to show them love like they have never had before and only when they see my unconditional love for them will my precious kids and adults be able to begin to grasp the love God has for them! So no, on my trips you will not hear me talking about God, Jesus, and the bible all the time. Because I believe actions speak WAYYYYY louder than words in these situations especially! #missionaryatheart
A Day With Petite
New shoes, new sunglasses, a bath in the ocean, and food for Petete today! I'd say it was definitely a successful day with my favorite street boy! A great day with Petete was a fantastic way to get my mind off of Rosie for a few hours. #missionaryatheart
Dancing With The Angels
Today has been the hardest day of my life. I walked into Rosie's house and saw a little bitty casket with my Rosie in it. I lost it and probably won't be able to pull myself back together for a long time. I know my girl is happy and healed and dancing with the angels but I just want her in my arms! Thank you all for your love and support during this process. Her funeral is in the morning at 10am (9am Alabama time). I am making certain she has the funeral she deserves. She is being buried with her boppy pillow supporting her head, and in a beautiful dress a friend gave to me as well as sporting a bracelet I brought special for her. Rosie girl is our precious blessing and I'm so ready to have her in my arms again one day! #missionaryatheart
