Happy Friday! Let me introduce you to the kitchen staff that feeds our kids everyday in the Dominican! We buy meals every morning from these precious ladies who cook at a community kitchen and take the food back to our mission house to feed our street kids. Each and every meal is made possible solely from Y O U R sponsorships and donations. May God continue to bless these fantastic ladies and the children they help feed every day! We sure are thankful for all that they do! #missionaryatheart
In The Books!
Another perfect week with my precious kiddos is in the books! As we head back to the states tomorrow I can’t help but think how blessed I am to have the opportunity to call these kiddos my babies and that many of them think of me as their momma! Many people think I am changing their lives but they are truly changing mine! These kids love like Jesus and are so full of joy! They are so happy about the most simple things in life and truly teach me to take a step back and enjoy simplicity! I am thankful for friends and family that support #missionaryatheart and make it possible for us to continue to invest in these kiddos lives! We truly cannot do what we do without our monthly sponsors! Visit our Donate Page for more info on how to get plugged in and bless these precious faces! I promise if you do, you’ll be forever blessed in return! #missionaryatheart
Field Trip!
Today we took our street kids on a field trip! We loaded up on motos after the kids had their bible study and lunch and went to the local baseball field in town! Our street kids were able to play a real baseball game for the first time ever! We passed out gloves and bats and made teams and had a great time! Most of our kids didn’t even have shoes and played barefoot. Today was filled with firsts, lots of laughs, and so much joy! I’m so thankful I have been given the opportunity to invest in these kids lives! ❤️⚾️ #missionaryatheart
Dominican Wedding!
Today was a perfect day! I have always dreamed of getting to have a mini wedding and celebration with my Dominican family when I found the man of my dreams! Today that dream came true! Tanner and I had a second wedding and celebration in the Dominican with some of our street kids, village kids, and Dominican friends! The day started with some of our street kids needing money for shoes and new clothes so they could look their best. Our village kids and families came dressed in their best clothes and were so excited to celebrate! It was a simple and perfect celebration in our favorite place in the world! #missionaryatheart
Medical Emergency In a Third World Hospital...
Meet Caco (the little girl holding one of our mission crosses). We have taken care of her for five years. Right now she needs your help. She has fluid around her heart and is not doing well. Even worse she is getting medical care in a third world hospital that is not like anything you have ever seen in terms of poverty. Her single mother has zero money and relies solely on our support. Right now she needs medicine, testing, food, and transportation for the family to travel four hours to the capital to get to a decent hospital. Please please pray that God will bless this child with His amazing healing power as only he can do! If you feel led to donate towards sweet Caco’s medical care, please send a tax deductible on the “Donate Now” page. I can assure you every single penny will go directly towards Caco’s medical needs! #missionaryatheart
