Today is Mother’s Day in the Dominican Republic. A day with huge celebrations much bigger than here in the States. But for most of our kids it is a lonely day living in the streets watching all the other families celebrate. Most of kids don’t have a family or a mom. Their moms have either abandoned them, passed away, or abused them so badly it wasn’t safe for them to live at home so they chose to live in the streets. But with your help we are able to give these children a sense of home where they can learn about the love of our Savior who will never forsake them. Please pray for all of our kids that look to me as gthe only momma they have and that they will feel the love of Jesus and the love you all have for each of them! #missionaryatheart
WE BOUGHT A VAN!!
After SIX years of being in the Dominican, we were able to buy a van for our mission house!!! Now all of our street kids will get picked up and dropped off on our van everyday! This is huge for us! We are so excited!!! God is SO SO good! #missionaryatheart
Precious Boys
Happy Saturday from #missionaryatheart! We are so thankful it's the weekend! How precious are these cute Dominican boys to make this beautiful Saturday even better?! I'm missing my Dominican kiddos extra big today! #missionaryatheart
Mid Week Cuteness!
Here’s your mid week dose of cuteness! Some of our precious village sisters looking adorable in their dresses! Just because you live in a house with a leaky roof, a dirt floor, and no running water doesn’t mean you don’t like to dress cute too! Thankful I have the opportunity to love on sweet babies like these in the Dominican Republic! Both of the smiles on these girls faces are made possible by our monthly sponsors! When you partner with #missionaryatheart you are making a long term impact on precious kids just like these and we are forever grateful!
Feeding Our Kids
Happy Friday! Let me introduce you to the kitchen staff that feeds our kids everyday in the Dominican! We buy meals every morning from these precious ladies who cook at a community kitchen and take the food back to our mission house to feed our street kids. Each and every meal is made possible solely from Y O U R sponsorships and donations. May God continue to bless these fantastic ladies and the children they help feed every day! We sure are thankful for all that they do! #missionaryatheart
